NEW THINGS

 

A new year and new things are coming.  My desire is to continue to bless and inspire others to pass on the blessings but in new ways as we begin 2022.  It’s time to end a chapter in my story and fulfill God’s purpose for my life in some different opportunities.  It’s also time to share my personal story with my family and leave a legacy of blessings through StoryWorth.  Writing will continue to be a way to bless others as well as more personal interactions and although I don’t know exactly what the future holds, I know Who holds the future!

ATTRIBUTES OF GOD - WISE

“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!”
Romans 11:33

God’s wisdom is the ability to devise perfect ends and to achieve those ends by the most perfect means.  God’s Word is full of His wisdom.  He understands everything and acts with perfect wisdom in all things.  He is infinitely wise, consistently wise and perfectly wise.

All wisdom comes from God and to be wise, believers must seek Him.  A wise person understands all the facts and makes the best decision even though they can never come close to being as wise as God.  Our limited, finite wisdom doesn’t compare to the limitless, infinite wisdom of God.

TRUTH - 2 John 1:3-4

 “Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Father’s Son, will be with us in truth and love. It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us.” 2 John 1:3-4

Grace (divine favour and good-will), mercy(free pardon and forgiveness) and peace (tranquility of spirit and serenity of conscience) come from God, but are contingent upon living in God’s truth and love.  We can never really have grace, mercy and peace apart from His truth.  In a well balanced Christian character, truth and love coexist harmoniously.  

Walking in truth shows we are walking with the Lord.  It shows believers have received Him, embrace and profess the Gospel plus are living lives according to the truth.  This is a progressive action requiring discipline.
